I knew I should have trusted her. Deep down I knew she was cheating on me. But I guess I just loved her too much, I didn't want to believe it, I was in denial. Well, I was waiting for the bus, when I felt a strong gust of hot wind pass through me. And that was it, one second I was at the bus stop, and the next I was at Kat's house.
It took some adjusting, specially since I was just lying in her couch completely naked. It didn't take long until I realized I was in her body. Later that day, I called my formerself. "Hello? John?" I asked, "I guess so" he answered. For a second I thought it was Kat inside my body. But it was some guy named Martin. We arranged to meet. I got dressed and met him at a coffee shop. "Wow, you're hot" he said. "Yes yes, i know" I said, "but you are in my body" I added. He explained that he was exercising, when the change happened. We started looking online, and it was all over the news "The great shift". Apparently it happened all over the world. Not everybody swapped, and some people had her original memories, while some others weren't even aware of the change.
I don't know what happened to Kat, but if I have to guess she was in somebody else's body, unaware of the changes. Martin and I started dating, although he now goes by the name of John, and I by the name of Kim. Why Kim? well, my full name is Kimberly Katherine, Kat liked her second name a lot more, but me, I like Kimberly better.
An "Adjustment Bureau" was stablished in my own city, to help people cope with the great shift. But we didn't need help, we got used to our new lifes quickly. I sure enjoy being Kim, and every day I get reminded by John how much I love womanhood. He always turns me on.
